Crystle Goode has been creating stories as long as she can remember. Wandering the woods
surrounding her early childhood home in northern California or lying in bed at night waiting for sleep,
she made up adventures. Fueled by curiosity and a need to put her thoughts into words, she worked to
hone her writing skills and used them to write stories for her son, skits for church women’s seminars,
and to chronicle her parents’ childhood memories.

Crystle has been published in Christian Woman and Cobblestone magazines. For the past five years, she
has written monthly human-interest articles on a freelance basis for a local newspaper and is the
designated writer for the Otter Creek Historical Society. She recently retired from her non-writing day
job and is working on edits to the fourth draft of her historical novel True North. She lives in rural
northern Illinois with her husband and biggest supporter, Tom.
